Philadelphia Eagles Mascot Swoop as a bald eagle

Bald eagles are native to North America. Philadelphia Eagles Mascot is a bald eagle on the field when he gets turned into a giant one. This version of Swoop was seen at halftime in the Eagles’ game against the Chicago Bears on November 10th, 2013.

He can also become a Great Horned Owl. The Great Horned Owl is a nocturnal bird that has many predators and has been deemed “the most formidable of all raptors” by David Allen Sibley in his book Field Guide to Birds: A Complete Identification Guide.

Swoop can turn himself into a hawk as well. Hawks are birds of prey and they feed mostly on small mammals such as rodents and rabbits, but they will occasionally prey on other birds or reptiles too.

It is believed that Swoop changed himself into a hawk during the Eagles’ game against the Dallas Cowboys in 2006 to bring luck for an interception return for a touchdown by cornerback Lito Sheppard that put Philadelphia ahead 23-6 with 2:27 left in the third quarter.

Swoop as a Great Horned Owl

Philadelphia Eagles Mascot has become a huge fan of superheroes since he was introduced to Iron Man. But what could Swoop be if he were more like the Hulk?

That’s right, an enormous Great Horned Owl.

His large wings and talons are perfect for aerial maneuvers, making him a deadly predator. When not on the field at games, Swoop enjoys taking naps in trees, catching mice and terrorizing local farm animals.
